About the Role

DIWA operates a drone pilot network throughout Australia and is looking for new additions to the team. We are seeking pilots with novice, intermediate and advanced skill sets for roles around the country.

These opportunities will include deployments to various sites in Western Australia and possibly other regions around the country.
The role will likely include deployments to various sites in Western Australia and possibly further.
The majority of our work is in regional W.A so travel and time away is to be expected.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate safe work practices on mine and industrial sites as required.

You will work with DIWA's Chief Remote Pilot and operations team to fulfill operational requirements. The role will involve you working with DIWA's Ops team and other companies in supporting capacities.

Requirements

  • Has an Remote Pilots Licence


  • Operate UAV’s safely and effectively in accordance with all regulatory requirements and DIWA policies and procedures

  • Plan and execute manually piloted and automated missions

  • Facilitate hazard identification and safety risk analysis

  • Coordinate flight schedules, logistics, and maintenance


  • Perform field maintenance and preventive maintenance on aircraft


  • Proficient in English language, both verbal and written


  • 25 hours of logged RPAS flight, prefer commercial RPAS operations


  • Prefer experience operating in remote locations


  • Ability to travel at short notice
